Well final match took place on the dreaded frozen lake today. Thanks to all the guys for mucking in to help break the ice so the match could go ahead, it went pretty much like we all expected hard day and very cold, we managed to break out nine pegs which took about 2 hrs to do, and a lot of effort. One guy had to be sent home due to feeling sick and sweating, hardest bit of work he'd done for years. Hope your feeling better Chris Baylis. We went in at 10.10am and it was Hutchy who has been on form this winter, starting with a nice Roach, but little did he know that at the other end of the lake the Wall brothers were bagging. This seemed to continue through out the day few lads couldn't hack it and decided to head off home in the severe conditions. Match finished and time for weigh in. The Walls had done enough to take first and second in the Winter League, in their first season with the club - congratulations lads. Colin Newton ended up third overall in the league and Paul Hutchins fourth. Thanks to all for an enjoyable Winter League and for all the help through out it. See you again soon!
