2nd league match of winter took place today on Sycamore Rowan, which had proved a challenge two weeks ago. Favourite was Alan Bates who drew peg 22 with flyer 21 unoccupied next to him, but the pressure of Hutchy at the side of him destroyed him or maybe his ear muffs restricted his view. Alan Blanked on his 1st winter match with club, yeah that is DNW. Graham Fletcher, John Sparkes and Phil Beeston kept up the 100% record of blanking again. But it was Secretary Colin Newton on peg 34 who answered his Critic,s after blanking a fortnight ago redeemed hisself with a good net of Carp caught on the deck using maggot. Oh I forgot to mention he also won the Golden Peg clearing the pot. Second place fell to Marc Gaskell on peg 36. Third went to Gav Rowlands peg 32, just one place short of payout.
